Hong Kong Deposit Protection Board
Hong Kong Deposit Protection Board (HKDPB) is an independent statutory body formed under the Deposit Protection Scheme Ordinance to oversee the operation of the Deposit Protection Scheme (DPS). The DPS protects your deposits placed with Scheme members and the protection is statutory.
HKDPB mainly uses its Facebook page to promote financial education content such as saving tips and saving protection infomation.
Problem:
Financial related information are hard to promote on social, they are always relatively boring to read and less “sharable”.
Strategy:Restructured the content on HKDPB’s Facebook page with differentiated content pillars to feature the role of HKDPB and educate Hongkongers about the importance of money-saving. Conceptualized video and static-image content featuring rich graphics elements to convey relatively informative financial message.
Result:
Reached over 500,000 local people and public recognition of DPS reached almost 80%
Gained 10,000 new fans on Facebook within 15 months
Doubled post reach and engagement rate YoY
